Townsend Tarapani, Broker

Townsend is an 8th generation Florida native with a passion for conservation, preservation and concern for the general welfare of Florida’s natural resources. Born and raised in Tarpon Springs, Townsend was taught the importance of community service at an early age and had goals to make his hometown a better place. Townsend graduated from Jesuit High School in Tampa and then earned a bachelors degree in Agricultural Business and Economics from Auburn University.

While attending Auburn University, Townsend became a licensed Florida Realtor. Post graduation, his real estate and investment career was shaped at the onset of the 2008 economic collapse. With the betterment of his community in mind, Townsend was elected to the Tarpon Springs City Commission at age 25 and went on to serve for of 7 years as a commissioner and 2 years as the Vice Mayor. As an elected official Townsend brought a unique perspective to aspects of redevelopment in his community and often championed for public private partnerships.  Townsend has spent his career becoming an industry expert in real estate, planning and development, and property management. In 2018, Townsend and his business partner founded Tarapani Banther & Associates Real Estate Brokerage and also co-owned Innovative Community Management Solutions (ICMS). ICMS was founded in 1999 and operated under Tarapani Banther for serval years until  recently acquired by Berkshire Hathaway Home Services in August of 2025.

Aside from spending quality time with his wife of over a decade and their 4 children, Townsend is a life long outdoor enthusiast with a strong desire to pass it forward to the next generation. Townsend and his family enjoy time in the Florida panhandle where they farm timber and have committed to wildlife and land management practices. In addition to Townsend’s time as an elected official, he has served by appointment on the Leepa Ratter Museum of Art BOD in connection with St Petersburg College, BOD of Forward Pinellas a land use and metropolitan planning agency, the Florida Pioneer Museum BOD in Dade City and the Fish and Wildlife Foundation of Florida.

David Banther, Broker

A Pinellas County native, David L. Banther was raised in Tarpon Springs, Florida. He graduated from Lakeside Christian School in Clearwater before earning a Bachelor of Science in Economics & Mathematics from Hillsdale College in Michigan. Following graduation, he returned home to Tarpon Springs and completed a Master of Science in Management at Colorado Technical University.

His early career focused on serving as a fractional CFO for small businesses and private wealth clients, during which he earned the PDMM (Professional Daily Money Manager) certification from the American Association of Daily Money Managers. In 2018, he co-founded Tarapani Banther & Associates LLC, where he continues to serve as Co-Broker & Managing Partner. In 2022, he and his business partner acquired Innovative Community Management Solutions (ICMS), a long-standing community association management firm, which they later sold to Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Florida Properties Group in 2025.

Service to the community has been a consistent thread throughout his life. An Eagle Scout (Troop 48, Tarpon Springs), he was elected to the Tarpon Springs City Commission in 2013, serving as Commissioner and Vice-Mayor until 2019. In 2024, he was appointed to fill a vacancy on the Commission, later re-elected unopposed, and continues to serve in that role today.

Over the years, he has also contributed to numerous boards and organizations, including the Tarpon Springs Boys & Girls Club, Rotary Club of Tarpon Springs, Tarpon Springs Yacht Club, Pinellas County Homeless Advisory Board, Pinellas County Suncoast Transit Authority, Tarpon Springs Employee Pension Board, Tarpon Springs Charter Review Committee, Tarpon Springs Budget Advisory Committee, Advent Health North Pinellas Foundation Board, and Leadership Pinellas (Class of 2015).

He lives in Tarpon Springs with his wife and two daughters, and they are active parishioners at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Dunedin. Outside of work and public service, he enjoys pursuing an active lifestyle as a former competitive powerlifter (USPA) with six gold medals, one silver, and four state records. He also holds a blue belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and remains active in the sport. When not training, he can often be found hunting, working on conservation projects, and managing his farm in North Florida.
